An acrylic acid maleic acid copolymer is one of the low molecular weight polyelectrolytes. It is prepared by copolymerization of maleic acid and acrylic acid (in a certain ratio). The acrylic acid maleic acid copolymer has an excellent dispersant performance of salts such as carbonates and phosphates. Its thermal stability is so good. Even at high temperatures of 300℃, it can still be used in the whole intestines.
The copolymer of maleic and acrylic acid has good compatibility and synergistic effect when used with other water treatment agents. It provides excellent resistance to scale formation (including phosphates).
Due to its excellent scale inhibition performance and high-temperature resistance, the copolymer of maleic and acrylic acid is widely used in various circulating cooling water systems. Such as low-pressure boilers, centralized heating, and central air conditioning systems.
In addition, the acrylic acid maleic acid copolymer can also be used as a chelating dispersant in the textile printing and dyeing industry.

The acrylic acid maleic acid copolymer is used in circulating cool water system, medium or lower pressure boiler and distillation system in which high temperature is usually encountered. The acrylic acid maleic acid copolymer can be used alone or together with other organic phosphates.
When used together, the dosage of 2-10 mg/L is preferred. The dosage for use as woven & dyeing and accessory detergent should be determined by experiments.
Acrylic acid-maleic acid copolymer enhanced ultrafiltration treatment of nickel-containing wastewater
Using acrylic acid-maleic acid copolymer as complexing agent to study the enhanced ultrafiltration treatment of nickel-containing wastewater by polymer complex metal ion, study the mass ratio of polymer to metal ion (mP/mM), solution pH, salt concentration, operation The influence of pressure, running time, etc. on the rejection of nickel ions.
The results show that the pH of the solution has a great influence on the retention rate of metal ions. At a certain mP/mM, the pH is in the range of 3 to 7, and appropriately increasing the pH of the solution is advantageous for the retention of nickel ions.
At a certain pH, the rejection R of nickel ions increases with an increase in mP/mM. When the solution pH is 6.0 and mP/mM=7, the rejection of nickel ions can reach 99% or more. The presence of NaCl and Na2SO4 reduces the rejection of nickel ions.
