BHMTPMPA is a high-efficient chelating scale inhibitor. It has a good effect on carbonate and sulfate scales. BHMT has good water-soluble properties and heat tolerance. Bis(Hexamethylene Triamine Penta (Methylene Phosphonic Acid) has high calcium ion tolerance in a wide pH range and temperature as high as 120℃.
BHMTPMPA has a good effect on an inhibiting scale by chelation, especially carbonate and sulfate scales. Therefore, it can enhance the concentration ratio in circulating water and reduce consumption. Combined with ATMP and HEDP, BHMTPMPA has lower total phosphorus content and higher molecular weight.

BHMTPMPA are made from 7-azatridecane-1 13-diamine (NH2[(CH2)6NH(CH2)6]NH2), phosphorus acid (H3PO3) and formaldehyde by 5H3PO3+NH2[(CH2)6NH(CH2)6]NH2+5HCOH=C17H44N3P5O15+5H2O
Accurately extract NH2[(CH2)6NH(CH2)6]NH2 into the reactor.
Stir, cool and then instill H3PO3.
Instill formaldehyde.
Extract impurity, slowly heats, reflux and concentrate.
BHMTPMPA is mainly used in oilfield-produced water and industrial cooling water as corrosion inhibitors and antiscalants.
